Super Cr3w is America’s Best Dance Crew!

August 21, 2008 in ABDC, America's Best Dance Crew, Reality TV, TV News by Rocky

I’m very happy at this moment! In fact, I’m patting myself on the back while doing the happy dance. Super Cr3w has been my favorite crew since the auditions. WOOOHOOO!

Ok, enough happy dancing, the room’s spinning now. I’ve been watching so many dance shows this summer; I convinced myself that I can dance. Maybe I’ll stick to watching for now.

Speaking of dancing, here’s the link to get all the information you’ll need if you want to be crowned America’s Best Dance Crew for Season 3.

Audition Info

My favorite Super Cr3w routine:

I do think it’s interesting that Randy Jackson said he thought Super Cr3w could take the whole thing from their first audition.

Where’s Michael Phelps’ Father?

August 21, 2008 in Olympics, Sports by John

I know I always wondered the above question. Michael Phelps was media darling, Michael’s father was no where in sight. Well, today I came across an article that solved the mystery:

It’s been well-documented that Debbie and Fred Phelps divorced when Michael was 9.

Fred Phelps is a retired Maryland State Trooper, lives in a suburb of Baltimore and has remarried since divorcing Debbie Phelps in 1993. According to the Baltimore Sun, he watched the Olympics from his home, saying he was “on pins and needles” every time Michael dove into the pool. But, the New York Post reported that Fred has yet to call his son to congratulate him on his Olympic accomplishments.

Following the divorce, Fred Phelps had little contact with his son. Prior to the 2004 Olympics, Michael told a reporter that his father hadn’t even called to congratulate him when he set his first world record. However, the two reconciled prior to the Athens Games and Fred even made the trip to watch his son win six golds and two bronzes. Since then, however, the relationship has reportedly fractured.

It’s too bad that their relationship has soured. I do give the man credit for not making a big deal out of it. Although, if he was in the wrong, then he’d have good reason not to expose himself.

One thing I do give the man credit for: Michael Phelps’ dad has great genes.

Larry King Video: A Tribute To Bernie Mac “A King Of Comedy”

August 21, 2008 in TV, TV News, Videos by John

Here’s a video of Larry King’s tribute to Bernie Mac after his death. Larry King does a great job doing a tribute I think. It’s sad that we lost Bernie Mac so soon.

Reality Tv Stars – Where are they now? -The Miz

August 21, 2008 in Reality Tv Stars-Where are they now? by Rocky

Appearing on a reality show does not guarantee success but for some it can make their dreams come true.

Take Mike “The Miz” Mizanin (from “Real World: Back to New York” 2001).

On the show he was probably the most carefree personality of the shows cast. It was during an episode of The Real World that Mike first displayed an alter ego known as “The Miz”. The Miz was angry, confrontational and headstrong. This new personality was interesting but somewhat annoying to his fellow cast mates. This would later lead to the fulfillment of a childhood dream.

Mizanin has always been a huge wrestling fan and in 2004 he was one of the final two contenders in the WWE’s fourth “Tough Enough” contest, which came with a $1 million, four-year contract. Though he lost, he did get the interest of WWE, and he was eventually offered a developmental contract. Mizanin was sent to Deep South Wrestling and in 2005, Mizanin defeated Mike Knox in the finals of a tournament to crown the first Deep South Heavyweight Champion. He moved on to Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2006 where he debuted as “The Miz”. Four months later WWE.com announced that he would serve as a “host” on SmackDown. Part of his duties included hosting a Diva search which he appeared to really enjoy (wink wink). By 2007, The Miz was drafted from SmackDown to ECW where he got his first taste of WWE gold as a tag team champion.

The future is looking bright for this infamous reality tv star.
