When will NBC begin showing the new season of Friday Night Lights on regular cable? I see that DirectTV will begin airing the show on Oct 1.

Good old strikes. They’ve thrown off a lot of things. There are probably at least 4 or 5 spring shows that I’ve had extra long to see. Not the least of which is Private Practice, but it’s COMING!!

Crystal-The writers strike delayed the premiere of Big Love. Will Scheffer, one of the creators of Big Love, has finally set the date for third season of the HBO series. The new episodes should begin on January 11, 2009.

They haven’t set a date from what I’ve been able to find for Medium and Scrubs. However, you’re right that Scrubs was picked up by ABC and Medium will be on NBC Sundays at 9.

Below you’ll find a bunch of the networks Winter & Midseason Plans:
• ABC will bring back Lost, According to Jim, Scrubs (formerly of NBC) and The Bachelor.

• CBS brings back Rules of Engagement and premieres the murder mystery Harper’s Island.

• The CW brings Reaper back for Season 2.

• DirecTV will premiere Friday Night Lights’ third season starting Oct. 1.

• Fox in January brings back 24 (Mondays at 9), American Idol and Hell’s Kitchen, and premieres Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse (Mondays at 8), Secret Millionaire and The Cleveland Show (a spin-off of Family Guy).

• NBC will bring back Law & Order (Wednesdays at 10 pm/ET), Friday Night Lights (Fridays at 9) and Medium (Sundays at 9), as well as premiere Merlin (Sunday, and Kings (Sunday, 10).

Do you know when NBC’s Medium and Scrubs will premier? I heard Scrubs was being picked up by ABC
