Bernadette Flynn from Superstars of Dance

January 14, 2009 in TV by John

One of the highlights of Superstars of Dance for me so far was the duet between Bernadette Flynn and Damien O’Kane. Ok, I probably mostly just liked Bernadette Flynn, but together they did something very beautiful.

Of course, when I like a dancer on a show, I have to do some searches for other videos by those dancers. Here’s a video of Bernadette Flynn dancing to “Breakout” Ronan Hardiman - Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance - Breakout in Lord of the Dance. One person called it the Strip Jig. Seems kind of fitting.

Also, it’s worth seeing the full version of “Stolen Kiss” Ronan Hardiman - Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance - Stolen Kiss from the original Lord of the Dance. It’s fun to compare it to the version performed on Superstars of Dance. I think I’ll take what was done on Superstars of Dance, but they are both wonderful.

I admit that I wasn’t all that familiar with Irish step dancing until now, but Bernadette Flynn is helping a person like myself learn to really enjoy such a beautiful dance.

ABDC Champion JabbaWockeeZ Joins Panel for ABDC Season 3

January 14, 2009 in ABDC, America's Best Dance Crew, Entertainment, Reality TV, TV, TV News by John

Best known as the original champions of MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew (ABDC,) the infamous Jabbawockeez returns to ABDC season 3 on January 15 as the guest judge in place of JC Chasez.

“It’s definitely an honor to be on the other side of the stage as a judge,” said Kid Rainen of the Jabbawockeez. “I’m excited to be able to give my input to the new crews and offer them advice from another dancer’s perspective.”

Since the show, Jabbawockeez have been making several special appearances in sharing the stage with pop sensations Pussycat Dolls at the MTV’s Video Music Awards as well as multi-platinum artist Ne-Yo at the BET Awards. In September 2008, Jabbawockeez paid a special tribute to the legendary Jackson 5 with dance performance to “Dancing Machine” at the BMI Awards.

Currently featured in the latest Gatorade commercial, the Jabbawockeez collaborated with some of the most established sports figures such as Dwayne Wade, Kerri Walsh & Misty May-Treanor, Serena Williams, Bill Russell, Muhammad Ali and with the voiceover by multi-platinum artist Lil Wayne. The commercial premiered during the Rose Bowl game which has already been generating a great deal of excitement on the internet.

Up next for the Jabbawockeez is the spring collection in addition to their hip clothing line “JBWKZ.” “JBWKZ” clothing is now available at selected MACY*S and JBWKZ.com.

I’m going to see if I can’t get some samples of their JBWKZ clothing which I can give away to Pure TV Network readers. So, stay tuned.
