Jason Mesnick’s Take on Home Town Dates

Written by: John
JASON MESNICK

I found a really interesting blog post by Jason Mesnick on People’s TV Watch. In it he talks about the various home town dates. Of course the best parts is when he talks about the things that happened that they didn’t put on camera. Here’s excerpts of those things:

Talking about Jason’s visit to Canada with Jill he said:

Her grandma was hilarious. She came in and put a pair of Canadian flag boxers on my head. We all got a great laugh out of it. But what you didn’t see on the show is that they actually got me to put the boxers on as well.

Talking about the hat box at Molly’s house Jason said:

I wish that you guys had gotten to see more of the hat box at Molly’s house. There were literally 50 to 60 hats in there, and by digging in, I really had to opportunity to be part of a welcoming family tradition.

Jason told about a horse ride with Naomi:

Unfortunately, you didn’t get to see the very “memorable” horseback ride that we took together. My horse got a little spooked and started spinning in circles. I really thought it was trying to buck me off. Luckily, I slipped of the back of the horse and it took off. I know it’s not the thing to do if you are trying to impress a girl, but I don’t have much experience with horses!

Jason said the following about not being able to meet Melissa’s family in Dallas:

Of course I was disappointed that Melissa’s parents were not comfortable meeting me under these circumstances, but I do respect their wishes. I know that there was a part of Melissa that I wasn’t able to see. But I also know that her parents didn’t ask to be a part of this journey and they made the decision that was best for them.

Of course, I don’t think anyone was surprised that Naomi was sent home. They just weren’t clicking. Sadly I think Jason will end up with Jillian. Nothing against her, but I’d much prefer him being with Melissa or Molly.

Returned Mormon Missionary on Survivor Tocantins

Written by: John

The new season of Survivor premieres tonight at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS. I’ve previously posted the full Survivor Tocantins cast and a few comments about Survivor Tocantins model Sierra Reed.

Today I came across an interesting article talking about former pro-cyclist and current bike shop manager Tyson Apostol from Heber City, Utah. The article talks about Tyson being a returned mormon missionary on Survivor. It even talks about how Tyson thinks his mission to the Philippines will give him an advantage on tonight’s survivor.

I’m sure his time in the Philippines will help, but anyone who has watched Survivor knows that it’s not always the smartest player that wins. There’s a whole lot of luck involved. It’s also been shown that he who is arrogant goes home also. So, Tyson Apostol should keep quiet and pray hard if he hopes to win this season of Survivor.

I’m really looking forward to tonight’s Survivor season premiere.
