PBS Goes Social with GetGlue
Written by: JohnI’ve been exploring a new social website called GetGlue. They have an interesting way of trying to put together community of users around TV Shows, Music, Videos, etc. So, obviously I’m interested in ways to improve the community that I’ve created around the Pure TV Network of websites. I’ll talk more about integrating GetGlue into the various Pure TV Network blogs later.
Today GetGlue is launching an interesting relationship with PBS. I’m a huge fan of PBS myself and you’ll often find me watching Front Line and Charlie Rose. I love them because they provide me a little bit more well rounded entertainment that informs me of things that I’m not that familiar with.
I must admit though that I’m regularly interested in discussing or reading discussions and reactions about what’s been shown on these PBS shows. With PBS’ partnership with GetGlue I’ll be able to have that chance. Plus, you can even get some free stickers for the shows too:

I also find it interesting that PBS plans to use GetGlue to promote their new PBS shows like: The Tenth Inning, God in America, Circus, and Michael Feinstein’s American Songbook. It’s really a great idea to promote these shows to people who’ve shown a liking to other related shows. Isn’t technology great?

Survivor Nicaragua Back on CBS
Written by: JohnI was so glad to have Survivor back last night. Although, I must admit that it was a bit of a disappointing show for me. I think that a 1 hour premiere isn’t enough for me. I prefer the 2 hour Survivor premiere. You get more of a chance to know the various players.
It is an interesting dynamic having Jimmy Johnson on the show. I’m not sure I like it that much. Mostly because even on the first show he’s already ready to bow out of the competition. That’s just lame. If you’re going on Survivor, then I want you to be all in and trying to win. None of this, It’s Too Hard crap!
Sadly, I also don’t see and Russell’s on this season. Granted, he’s a hard one to replace. However, I’ll definitely be missing him this season. Although, the show is still fascinating and will definitely be a great watch. I like the move to Wednesday nights too, but I’d rather have it a little later. Oh well, it should be another good season of Survivor.
