I’m also confused since I don’t see Dancing with the Stars on my list above. I know season 10 of DWTS is happening sometime too. Maybe they haven’t announced a date yet.

Please let me know of other shows that are missing and I’ll update them. Thanks!

Interview with Bachelor Jason Mesnick Well After the Show

BuddyTV is located close to where Jason lives and so Jason Mesnick stopped by their office for an interview. Check out this video of Jason Mesnick well after the rose ceremony.

Jillian Harris the Next Bachelorette

Jason and Molly are riding off into The Bachelor sunset. We’ll hear about them one more time when they break up in a few months. However, for those who love the Bachelor series, they announced that Jillian Harris will be on the next season of The Bachelorette.

The Bachelorette will premiere on May 18th. Pretty quick turnaround for the show, but The Bachelor is right up there with reality TV shows like Survivor and Amazing Race. It’s been going on for a long time and doesn’t show much sign of slowing.

I think Jillian Harris will be pretty interesting, but I’m not sure I’m going to watch it. We’ll have to see what other shows are on at the same time.

Either way, please let me know if you know of any Bachelorette spoilers from season 5 of the Bachelorette.

Jason Mesnick’s Take on Home Town Dates

JASON MESNICK

I found a really interesting blog post by Jason Mesnick on People’s TV Watch. In it he talks about the various home town dates. Of course the best parts is when he talks about the things that happened that they didn’t put on camera. Here’s excerpts of those things:

Talking about Jason’s visit to Canada with Jill he said:

Her grandma was hilarious. She came in and put a pair of Canadian flag boxers on my head. We all got a great laugh out of it. But what you didn’t see on the show is that they actually got me to put the boxers on as well.

Talking about the hat box at Molly’s house Jason said:

I wish that you guys had gotten to see more of the hat box at Molly’s house. There were literally 50 to 60 hats in there, and by digging in, I really had to opportunity to be part of a welcoming family tradition.

Jason told about a horse ride with Naomi:

Unfortunately, you didn’t get to see the very “memorable” horseback ride that we took together. My horse got a little spooked and started spinning in circles. I really thought it was trying to buck me off. Luckily, I slipped of the back of the horse and it took off. I know it’s not the thing to do if you are trying to impress a girl, but I don’t have much experience with horses!

Jason said the following about not being able to meet Melissa’s family in Dallas:

Of course I was disappointed that Melissa’s parents were not comfortable meeting me under these circumstances, but I do respect their wishes. I know that there was a part of Melissa that I wasn’t able to see. But I also know that her parents didn’t ask to be a part of this journey and they made the decision that was best for them.

Of course, I don’t think anyone was surprised that Naomi was sent home. They just weren’t clicking. Sadly I think Jason will end up with Jillian. Nothing against her, but I’d much prefer him being with Melissa or Molly.

Lauren’s Best Song – Bachelor

JASON MESNICK

Lauren definitely had the best song on the Bachelor tonight and it’s such a mistake that Jason chose Molly over Lauren.  Ok, I get that Jason probably doesn’t like Lauren as much as Molly, but it would have been fair to take Lauren with him, because her song was 100 times better than all of the other girls songs.

Of course, it would have very likely meant that it was the end of the show for Lauren.  I’m not sure that Jason would have given Lauren the rose on the individual date.  I could be wrong, but I could see that Jason wasn’t feeling it at all for Lauren.

Since Jason just did away with Lauren, my new favorite is Melissa.  I think she’s going to make it to the end of the show and win it all.

Also, it was really time for Nikki, Shannon and the Lacrosse Coach (I can’t remember her name and don’t really care to remember) to go home.

Oh man, I just saw Lauren singing during the outtake of Bachelor and I like her even more.  I’m sad that I won’t get to see another week of Lauren on the Bachelor.

Next Bachelor Jason Mesnick Engaged

We previously reported that Jason Mesnick would be returning to the Bachelor/Bachelorette enterprise, but this time as the bachelor handing out the roses. Reality TV spoilers has a little bit of a Bachelor spoiler per People Magazine which says that Jason Mesnick is engaged after the filming of this season of the Bachelor.

“I’m engaged! I found exactly what I was hoping for, what I was looking for. I’m completely in love.” – Jason Mesnick

Looks like Bachelor fans will really enjoy this season with Jason finding love.

Jason Mesnick To Be The Next Bachelor Come January 2009

ET online reported the following:

ET breaks the news that Jason Mesnick, 32, will be the next star of “The Bachelor” coming to ABC in January 2009.

Female fans crumbled after he dropped to one knee, proposed marriage and got turned down on the season finale of the latest installment of ABC’s “The Bachelorette.” But now he’ll have another shot at finding true love!

Mesnick, the single dad and Seattle-based account executive, will have another shot at finding love while dating 25 hopeful contestants.

Mesnick is a sports enthusiast who is looking for women with a passion for life.

This is an interesting piece of news since Jason Mesnick was so sad to be away from his son. I wonder if the Bachelor will allow him to bring his son with him to stay with him at night and just have a nanny watch the kid while he goes on his dates. Seems reasonable to me.

It should be interesting to see if Jason Mesnick has the appeal of other bachelors. He’s such a soft spoken guy that will have to see if Jason as Bachelor will make good television or not.
