Tiffany “New York” Pollard Goes To Hollywood

Written by: Rocky

Love her or hate her, Tiffany Pollard, is the current reigning queen of Reality Tv. She received the nickname “New York” from Flavor Flav during the first season of Flavor of Love. Her sass and over the top antics not only qualify her as a TV Freak but made her VH1’s “ratings darling”. This has lead to appearances on “Flavor of Love” for two seasons, a spin-off show ‘I Love New York” for two seasons and her latest spin-off “New York goes to Hollywood”.

Here’s a fan tribute video to Tiffany featuring her theme song “The world should revolve around me” by Little jackie.

You can see “New York Goes To Hollywood” on VH1, Mondays at 10PM EST. Also, check out full episodes and behind the scenes clips at VH1

I Love Money: I don’t just love it, I want more!

Written by: Rocky

Here at Pure TV Freaks, we’ll be looking at some of the wildest characters that make reality TV worth watching. Characters we love and those we love to hate. Let’s see just how far some people are willing to go for fifteen minutes of fame.

Let the freak show begin!

I Love Money!

Vh1 has taken reality TV to a whole new level. They gathered together some of the most ridiculous, self-deluded characters from their three top reality shows: I Love New York, Flavor of Love, and Rock of Love.

What makes this show so entertaining is that these characters, unlike most reality characters, are completely honest about why they are on the show. They love money and will do anything to get it. The reward if they win – $250,000 in cash.

Because these are some of the most over-the-top characters on tv, the strategies they come up with to win will have you gasping for air. Sometimes in shock but usually with laughter. This show has everything from twisted romances, betrayals, heated competitions, fighting, more fighting and lots of underhanded strategies.

The most shocking part about watching this show is that the heavy editing we usually complain about is what makes it so good. This show doesn’t pretend to be totally real. It is blatantly edited like a sitcom. We ’see’ what cast members are thinking while they narrate with sound bites from interviews. Cheesy music is often in the background, adding to the sitcom feel. As people continue to grow dissatisfied with the current formulas for reality tv, I think we’ll be seeing more shows going in this direction. Real people, doing improvisational acting within television story formats.

I have an upcoming blog that will introduce the characters on the show but until then take a look at the preview package for I Love Money.
