Written by: RockyBjorn is the sweet 16er from Connecticut who threw the Ultimate Fashion Show. That was three years ago, these days he is a college freshman studying liberal arts close to home. But his parents have a surprise for him. He’s being exiled to the deserts of Morocco.
After a brief break from the televised touching of poop last week, we’re back on track this week.
Said and Bjorn gather camel dung to be used instead of wood to heat their food. I like how firmly Said dealt with Bjorn’s adamant statement ‘I can’t touch the poop’.
Said: “You can, you can. You will try and you will succeed”
Is it wrong that this made me laugh. It’s the first journal entry Bjorn wrote after learning he was exiled.
THE NIGHT OF THE INTERVENTION
This is so ridiculous, my parents so just ganged up on me. And not only that, they included one of my friends and my cousin to decide that I have problems. They’re sending me to Morocco! What is Morocco anyways? How do they think it’s OK to send me to some random country by myself and do labor in the desert with scorpions, spiders and snakes? Their decision is totally endangering my life. What if I never come back? And in no way will I wear a turban or gellato or whatever it’s called. That is so uncalled for. OMG, what have they gotten me into? I will DIE!
Poor Bjorn.
I think this was the best episode so far. Unlike Amanda, Ava and Chelsi, Bjorn really is a drama queen. Even though he squealed and whined just like the girls, I think he was always aware that this would be seen by other people. He made sure that he didn’t come across too badly. He attempted everything he was asked too, except kill a pigeon which is a decision I can support.
His journal is well written and entertaining. I do think he understands his situation better than the girls. Even if daddy cuts them off, they still have the option of marrying into money and remaining spoiled. Bjorn, on the other hand, will have to support himself and his future family if he isn’t supported by his parents. For him, that will be tough. He’s very feminine and doesn’t like manual labor. His passion is for expensive fashion, a highly competitive field to earn a living in. Even winners of shows like Project Runway have had a hard time fully breaking into the fashion industry.
Did he change?
